Pressure, position, temperature and other transmitters with a DIN 43650 plug connection are usually 2-wire transmitters, this means the power supply for the transmitter is delivered by the 4-20mA current loop. The A2007B-DIN is a 2-wire transmitter, which can be manually adjusted by a multi-turn potentiometer.
Therefore, the A2007B-DIN can be used as a direct replacement for pressure, temperature, position and other transmitters with a DIN 43650 plug. With the multi-turn potentiometer the current can be adjusted allowing very easy loop testing, alarm set points controllers and displays can be tested very fast and easy, making it an ideal tool for commissioning and servicing of industrial automation equipment.
The indicator reacts direct on the current, and is independent of the internal current regulation, this allows fault-finding of power supply problems, connection faults or loose contacts. Also a to high load on the current loop can be easily recognised with the indicator.
