4-20 mA simulator with indicator M12 connector
4-20mA current loop tester with M12 A-coded connector, designed for simulating pressure, position, temperature, and other transmitters with a M12 connection. The plug can easily be disconnected from the transmitter and connected to the A2007B-M12. Then it is possible to control the 4-20mA signal with the multi-turn potentiometer. The indicator gives a direct indication if the loop is powered and works correctly. Because the potentiometer allows setting the 4-20mA signal alarm set-points can fast and easy be tested

Pressure, position, temperature and other transmitters with a M12 connection are usually 2-wire transmitters, this means the power supply for the transmitter is delivered by the 4-20mA current loop. The A2007B-M12 is a 2-wire transmitter, which can be manually adjusted by a multi-turn potentiometer.
Therefore, the A2007B-M12 can be used as a direct replacement for pressure, temperature, position and other transmitters with a M12 A-coded connector. With the multi-turn potentiometer the current can be adjusted allowing very easy loop testing, alarm set points controllers and displays can be tested very fast and easy, making it an ideal tool for commissioning and servicing of industrial automation equipment.
The M12 connector is using pin 1 (positive) and pin 3 (negative) compatible with transmitters from Wika, Hydac, Endress, JUMO, Sick, Gems etc. Please note, IFM, Sensata and RS-PRO sensors may use different pins, please contact us before ordering in this case.
The indicator reacts direct on the current, and is independent of the internal current regulation, this allows fault-finding of power supply problems, connection faults or loose contacts. Also a to high load on the current loop can be easily recognised with the indicator.
